This is one of my FAVORITE meals from when I was a kid. I continue to make this, but I tried to make this a little more healthy and Fix Friendly 🙂
1 pound ground beef
1 can (15oz) tomato sauce
1 packet of spaghetti sauce (I use Wildtree seasoning)
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. mozzeralla cheese
1 large egg
white of 2 large eggs
1 c. milk
1 tbl. veg oil
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1- Cook ground beef,
2- Stir in tomato sauce, water, and spaghetti sauce mix.
3- Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
4- Heat oven to 400
5- Put meat in un-greased baking dish, sprinkle evenly with cheese.
6- In large bowl beat the egg and egg whites until foamy.
7- Beat in milk and oil then stir in whole wheat flour and salt until well blended.
8- Pour over cheese layer.
9- Bake 30 min. or until puffed and golden brown.
Makes 6-8 servings, depending how you cut them. For Fix containers- I would guess- 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 purple, 1 blue, 1 tsp.- per serving.
